Lessons Learned from Indonesia Water SMS Project

  • Even though most respondents had experienced problems with water services, but only a small proportion of those ever present the problem. The survey shows that as many as 78% of respondents stated the subscribers never raise their concerns,
  • SMS determined least costly way for users to report issues (compared to going in person, mailing a letter)
  • Collaborate engagement to develop a solution is seen as keenly important to success
